Subject:
IE Bulletin 85-03 " Motor Operated Valve Common Mode Failures During Plant Transients due to Improcer Switch Settings As indicated in Reference 2, the BWR Owners' Group (BWROG) has recently undertaken the task of developing a generic BWR position for meeting the requirements of the subject Bulletin.
The purpose of this correspondence is to inform the NRC of Detroit Edison's intent to participate in this BWROG activity and to formally request that a delay in the Fermi-2 specific response to l
IE Bulletin 85-03 be granted until 45 days following NRC approval of the BWROG generic response.
It is expected that the complete timetable for implementation of Detroit Edison's program to address the subject Bulletin will be provided at that time, based on the BWROG generic response and its acceptance by the NRC.
