Paris October 11, 1988 Page 2 copies of the direct testimony and exhibit which Licensee GPU Nuclear Corporation will offer at the evidentiary hearing to begin on October 31, 1988.
Counsel and representatives of the parties have agreed to hold a telephone conference at 10:00 a.m.,
Friday, October 14, to discuss the scheduling of witnesses and the order of evidentiary presentations for the testimony and exhibits filed today.
If the parties reach agreement, I anticipate submission to the Board of a jointly proposed agenda.
If the parties are unable to reach agreement, I anticipate requesting a prehearing conference with the Board by celephone.
i On Friday, October 7, Licensee received "SVA/TMIA's Motion to Submit Witness's Testimony as Evidence Without Cross-Examination at Hearings in Lancaster," dated October 4, 1988.
Licensee's copy did not include a copy of the proposed testimony at issue.
Assuming that the proposed testimony is being filed today by the Joint Intervenors, Licensee will discuss the matter with the other parties in the October 14 telephone conference, and then file a written response as soon as practicable.
