Dear Mr. Mayo :
The subject grant expired on June 30,1998, and we are initiating closeout action. However, ;
pending completion of all required closecut requirements, it is necessary to deobligate j excess funds remaining under this grant for other immediate agency requirements. Therefore, enclosed for your review and execution are three (3) signed copies of the subject modification de obligating excess funds in the amount of $1,450.86.
Please have an appropriate official sign all three (3) copies and return two (2) copies to the address below within five (5) days from the date of this letter. MODIFICATION NO.1 TO GRANT NO. NRC-04 98 050 BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT SANTA BARBARA AND THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION 1
l The purpose of this modification is to deobligate excess funds in the amount of $1,450.86, decreasing the obligated amount from $10,000.00 to $8,549.14. Accordingly, the following changes are hereby made:
- 1. Block No.15., NRC Obligation of Funds, is deleted entirely and replaced with the following:
