On May 2, 1986, the Board placed a conference call to:
Ms. Doroshow, representing TFIA; Ms. Wagner, counsel for the NRC Staff; Mr. Churchill, counsel for the Licensee; and Mr. Au, counsel for the l
l interested State of Pennsylvania.

The Board stated that it was considering TMIA's Motion dated April 11,1986 which requested a six month extension of time fro.i May 12 to November 12, 1986 within whit,h to complete discovery. The May 12 I
cutoff date for the completion of discovery had been set during the special prehearing conference held on March 27, 1986.
The Board also stated that the purpose of the conference call was to notify the parties that the holding of a conference would be helpful in enabling the Board to rule on TMIA's outstanding Motion. More f8R05070199 860502 ADOCK 05000289 O

e particularly, the Board advised that the Staff's Response of Apr'il 30 had notified the Board of certain matters which required discussion --
i.e., for example, the Staff had notified (a) that the SER concerning TSCR-148 would not be issued until on or about July 31, 1986, (b) that, by letter dated February 19, 1986, the Licensee had agreed to the Staff's request that, at the next refueling outage (currently scheduled for November 1986), the Licensee would remove and test a number of steam generator tubes, and (c) that the Staff's evaluation of this test data would not be available before the end of January 1987.
The Board scheduled the conference for May 7, 1986 at 10:30 a.m. in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Hearing Room, located at 4350 East West Highway, 5th Floor, Bethesda, Maryland.
