On September 11.1998, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed an inspection

at your Farley Nac! ear Plant. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.

During the week of September 8-11,1998, an inspection team observed selected portions of )

your emergency organization's response in key facilities during the emergency preperedness

plume exposure exercise conducted on September 9,1998. The emergency response i

observed during the simulated accident was considered generally satisfactory. l

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its

enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
