WESTINGHOUSE HITTMAN NUCLEAR MODEL HN-215H SHIPPING PACKAGE
Dear Mr. MacDonald:
This letter requests that the above referenced Certificate of Compliance be amended.
Enclosed are eight (8) copies of the following for your review.
Hittman Drawing STD-02-077, Rev. 6, "HN-215H Cask Assembly" The drawing has been revised to include several minor design improvements resulting from our initial operating experiences with these casks.
These changes will reduce the time required to prepara the cask for shipment, thereby reducing personnel radiation exposure.
The improvements include optianal guide pins for the primary cask lid, an improved ratchet binder handle storage bracket design, and provisions for the installation of lanyards for lug covers, ratchet binder pins, etc. These design improvements do not affect the cask safety Analysis' Report.
Enclosed please find a cheIk in the amount of $150 for fees associated with processing this request of amendment for the Certificate of Compliance.
Your expeditious review of this request for the amendment of the Certificate of Compliance for the HH-215H cask would be much appreciated, as these simple changes would appreciably facilitau cask closure operations, 8806200114 880610
