SUBJECT:
ORAL BOARD CERTIFICATION OF STEVE RAY, AS A RESIDENT INSPECTOR On May 31, 1988, an oral board comprised of N. Chrissotimos, W. Shafer, P. Hiland, and myself as Chairman was convened in accordance with RP 1231A, to determine the acceptability of progress and knowledge of Mr. Steve Ray.
The board questions covered the FSAR, Technical Specifications, NRC Inspection Manual, licensee procedures, personal conduct, enforcement, Code of Federal Regulations, regulatory guides, NRC inspection program, allegations, and administrative matters. Mr. Ray demonstrated satisfactory knowledge of all the above areas. The board, with all members concurring, determined that Mr. Ray has sufficient knowledge, experience, and professionalism to represent the NRC in his capacity as a Resident Inspector.
