50-328 SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN) - WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM PHYSICAL PIPING DRAHINGS
References:
1.
TVA Letter to NRC dated April 22, 1987, "Sequoyah Nuclear Plant - NRC Inspection and Enforcement Report Numbers 50-327/86-55 and 50-328/86-55" 2.
TVA letter to NRC dated January 21, 1987, "Sequoyah Nuclear Plant Unit 2 - Long-Term Drawing Control Program" In response to Inspection Reports 50-327/86-55 and 50-328/86-55, TVA committed to generate configuration control drawings (CCDs) for the waste disposal physical drawings (47H560 serle's) as stated in reference 1.
The current commitment completion date was April 1, 1988.
To date, a walkdown of the waste disposal system has been completed; and CCOs will be generated for the flow drawings. The other waste disposal system drawings will be completed in accordance with TVA's commitment to generate CCOs as stated in reference 2.
Safety evaluations and other safety-related reviews utilize the primary drawings in performing reviews. Physical drawings are normally used in performing design changes.
Design changes that affect these drawings will result in a detailed walkdown of the portion of the system that is being affected.
This is to ensure essential information needed for the modification is not overlooked. Therefore, TVA has determined that generation of CCOs for the waste disposal system physical drawings is not essential.
In accordance with TVA's drawing commitment, however, the waste disposal system physical drawings will be updated to include known drawing deficiences as changes are made to the waste disposal system.
