Document Control Desk Hashington, DC 20555 Docket No. 50-312 Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station License No. DPR-54 PROPOSED AMENDMENT NO. 170 Attention: George Knighton In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District proposes to amend Operating License DPR-54 for Rancho Seco and therefore submits Proposed Amendment No.170.
In response to a review of our Auxiliary Feedwater (AFH) System Technical Specifications, the District submits Proposed Amendment No.170 to better define the applicability requirements of Specification 3.4.
Attachment I provides the insertion / removal instructions for and contains the Technical Specification pages affected by Proposed Amendment No.170. Attachment II contains the Safety Analysis Report and No Significant Hazards Consideration for the proposed changes.
The changes proposed to Technical Soecification 3.4 clarify the operational mcJe applicability of Specification 3.4 and the definition of AFH train.
The ch4nges proposed to Technical Specif'ication 4.8 revise tne nrvailler,:e requirements and freque1cy of verifying the AFH System flow path to e.1rure th3 AFH System vill perform its inter.ded function.
Pursuant to 10 CM 30.91(b)(1), the Radiological Ikalth Branch of the California State Copartmmt of Health Services has been informad of this Proposed Amendment by raiidu copy of this submittai.
