Thank you for your letter af April 18, 1988 addressed to Mr. Partlow. We will evaluate your subtier supplier audits, including the Energy Steel & Supply 2
Company's (ESSC) follow-up of any findings, during a future NRC inspection of ESSC.
Please accept my apology for the delay in responding to your December 15, 1987 letter. We have reviewed ESSC's "Material Dedication Procedure," Revision 1, dated December 15,19d/ and find the procedure acceptable for dedicating commerciai items intended for safety-related (i.e., meets the requirements of Appendix B to 10 CFR Part 50) applications at a nuclear facility. The imple-mentation of this dedication process will also be evaluated during a future NRC inspection of ESSC.
