Special Inspection No. 88-67 On March 16, 1988, Mr. Waymon Wailace and Ms. Cristina Schulingkamp of this office conducted a special safety inspection at the above address of activities permitted by the general license as authorized by 10 CFR 31.5.
The inspection was limited to a review of your possession and use of static eliminators manufactured by the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company (3M). The findings of the inspection were discussed with yourself at the conclusion of the inspection.
The floor and surface areas of the packaging facility which houses the bottle blowing unit and the solvent room which contains portable blowing units were surveyed using a Ludlum Model 61 air proportional counter and a Ludlum gas proportional floor monitor.
Four areas of contamination were identified with the floor monitor.
All areas were decontaminated with tape and/or cleanser.
No additional contamination was found nor were any additional radiation levels measured in excess of the background radiation levels.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice", Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room. No repiv to this letter is required.
