NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-341/98018(DRS)

Dear Mr. Gibson:
On October 8,1998, the NRC completed a follow-up inspection of your implementation of

10 CFR 50.65," Requirements for Monitoring the Effectiveness of Maintenance at Nuclear
Power Plants," (the maintenance rule) at Enrico Fermi Unit 2. The enclosed report presents the
results of that inspection.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified. We concluded that actions your staff carried
out properly addressed the findings of our Maintenance Rule Baseline inspection, and that the
Fermi 2 maintenance rule program met all requirements of the maintenance rule.
in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter, the
enclosures, and your response will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have conceming this inspection.
