Gentlemen:
The purpose of this letter is to document a conversation between Mr. G. D.
I Boyer of Volf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporstion ani Mr. D. D. Chaderlain of the NRC Region IV staff on September 30, 1989.
The discussion concerned a change in the completion date, as stated in the Reference, for Revisjon 2 l
of the Emergency Operating Procedures.
Beesuse of the number of changes being msde and the number of NRC coments made during the Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP) Inspection, the new completion date of Revision 2, along with the required procedure training, is scheiuled for March 30, 1989.
l The current status of the E0P revision effort is that the 43 Emergency i
l Operating Procedures have hsd chsnges made to them and they are in fins 1 draf t form.
In addition, the procedures have been verifiel mi validsted as required by the procedures generation packsge. The remsining sotions are to perfo rm a final review of the procedures ani conduct training on all of the l
procelures for the operatora.
