Consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 170.12(f) and 170.21.J we have determined the professional staff hours and contractual costs for the review of Amendment Nos. 7, 8 and 9 to Revision 6 of topical report NEDE-240ll on GESTAR-II. We are concurrently requesting the Office of Resource Management to bill your Company $20,000 each for the review of Amendment No. 7 (approved 3/1/85 and 5/9/85) and Amendment No. 8 (approved 4/24/85), and $16,628 for Amendment No. 9 (approved 1/25/85).
Each review for Amendment Nos. 7 and 8 exceeded $20,000; however,10 CFR 170 limits the maximum chargeable to $20,000 Our audit process has revealed that over the years, there have been other amendments and revisions to NEDE-24011 that have been submitted to NRC for review and approval for which fees have not been collected (e.g., Revisions 2 through 5 and Amendments 3 through 6). As soon as all the data are compiled for these amendments and revisions, we will bill ~your Company for them.
Enclosed is a copy of the "NRC Procedures for Extending Payment Dates of License Fee Billings." These procedures address extensions for payments as well as disputed bills, interest and penalty charges.
We regret the delay in assessing fees for amendments and revisions to NEDE-24011.
