COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES) j DOCKET N05, 50-445 AND 50-446 i
DEFICIENCIES IN STEAM GENERATOR CUBICLE STEEL PLATFORM FRAMING AND PRESSURIZER SUPPORT SLAB SDAR: CP-87-131 (SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT) l Gentlemen:
)
i On February 5, 1988, TV Electric letter logged TXX-88177 retified the NRC 1
Staff of a deficiency involving unacceptable subcompartment pressurization I
i effects resulting from a postulated pressurizer surge line break.
The last i
report on this issue, logged TXX-88331, was submitted March 21, 1988.
Pressurizer surge line breaks are eliminattd by showing that the line will j
leak before it breaks. The Leak Before Break analysis was submitted for j
approval via TXX-88382 dated April 15, 1988.
Additional analysis on the i
i pressuriter surge line is being performed to address thermal stratification i
effects.
This additional analysis is scheduled for completion by l
March 1,1989 for Unit 1.
The analysis for Unit 2 will be completed prior to Unit 2 Hot Functional Test.
