Dear Gentlemen:
Please consider this as the advance notification equired by 10CFR73 of our spent nuclear research reactor fuel shipment "R66-98-1" from the U.Va. Nuclear Rmetor Facility to Savannah River, S.C.. Details concerning this shipment are in attachment. We hereby confirm that armed escorts have been arranged for the Salem /Roanoke VA, Charlotte NC and Columbia SC portions of the travel route, as required. Also, the appropriate governors or designees of the states through which the shipment is to be made have been notified.
Please be reminded that Federal Regulations require all shipment schedule information to be kept confidential until at least 10 days following the completion of the shipment.
