Hope Creek Generating Station (H.C.)-- Facility Operating License: NPF-57, Docket No. 50-354 Request for License Amendment: Single Cell Charging Safety-Related Batteries
-- License Change Request (LCR) H98-05 (09/08/98)_
On September 8, 1998, PSE&G submitted LCR H98-05 to the NRC, seeking approval to use their non-safety-related single cell battery chargers, for charging an individual-or a small number of cells, in operable safety-related battery bank systems.
Proper safety-related electrical isolation, and suitable administrative controls will be used to protect a battery while is being charged.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP)
Bureau of Nuclear Engineering (BNE) has reviewed the change request per requirements of 10 CFR 50.91(b) and has no comments.
