SUBJECT:

PROPOSED LICENSE TO EXPORT COMPONENTS TO COUNTRIES LISTED IN 10 CFR 110.26(a) AND RETURN TO THE U.S.

On September 26, 1988, NRC received a license application from the j

General Electric Company to export components to the countries listed in i

10 CFR 110.26(a) for 1) testing purposes; 2) qualificatient 3) use as i

inodels; or 4) manufacturing and subsequent return to the United States.

The applicant has requested expeditious processing of the license

)

request as a batch of components are ready for imediate shipment.

l The staff has concluded that the proposed export meets the requirements l

j of the Atomic Energy Act and would not be inimical to the coemon defense l

and security of the United States.

In view of the above considerations, the staff issued the license f

without the connal 15-day waiting period.
