Response to Generic Letter 88-05 Beric Acid Corrosion of Carbon Steel Reactor Pressure Boundary Components in PWR Plants Centlemen:
The purpose of this letter is to provide Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation's (WCNOC) schedule for developing and implementing boric acid corrosion inspection procedures.
This schedule is being submitted in accordance with the requirements of Ceneric Letter 88-05 "Boric Acid Corrosion of Carbon Steel Reactor Pressure Boundary Components in PWR Plants", dated March 17, 1988.
WCNOC is
- 2rrently developing an administrative procedure and enhancing existing procedures to provide assurance that boric acid corrosios does not lead to degradation of the reactor coolant pressure boundary.
The procedures will be completed and implemented by September 30, 1988.
