Dear Mr. Murley:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Commonwealth Edison proposes to amend Appendix A, Technical Specifications of racility Operating Licenses NPF-37, NPF-66, NPF-72 and NPF-75.
The proposed amendment requests changes to the Action Statement requirements to Specification 3.1.3.1 to restrict control rod movement and thermal power in the event of multiple inoperable but trippable J
control rods. The Basis Section for this Specification has been revised to reflect these new requirements.
The revised Technical Specification pages are contained in Attachment A.
The description and sumary of the proposed changes are presented in Attachment B.
The proposed changes have been reviewed and approved by both on-site and off-site review in accordance with Comonwealth Edison procedures.
Comonwealth Edison has reviewed this proposed amendment in accordance with 10 CFR 50.92(c) and has determined that no significant hasards consideration exists. This evaluation is documented in Attachment C.
Comonwealth Edison is notifying the State of Illinois of our application for this amendment by transmitting a copy of this letter and its attachments to the designated State Official.
