Sirs:

BR A N'A This is to request your approval of plans to put the Seabrook nuclear power plant into low-power testing in the very near future.

There appears to be no sensible reason why excessive concern that.: emergency evacuation plans should be in place for this low-level testing to be completed.

Efforts to stop such testing appear to be nothing more thaa another ploy'by opponents of nuclear power to throw roadblocks in the path of Seabrook operation, no matter how unreasonable, even ridiculous, those efforts are.

I myself am an environmentalist as well as a supporter of nuclear power, being a member of the Sierra Club, the Environmental Defense Fund, the Wilderness Society and other such groups, and feel that they have been misled in their opposition to Seabrook and nuclear power. I feel the dangers and hazards in the use of oil, coal, and gas, are much greater than those involved in nuclear power.

I trust you will give this matter your best consideration.

Sincere f

Du p
