Dear Mr. Lanpher and Mr. Zahnleuter:

Enclosed are LILCO's Third set of Interrogatories and Requests for Production of Documents Regarding Contentions 1-2, 4-8, and 10 to Suffolk County, New York Sta te, and the Town of Southampton. Also enclosed are notices of deposition for Robert Sheppard and Lee Koppelman, of which we advised Mr. Lanpher on Saturday, June 4, Monday, June 6.

and confirmed in our letter to each of you on 4 Deposition notices for William Regan and Richard C. Roberts were initially served on April 5, 1988 and the depositions were ordered by the Board in its rulings on April 18, 1988, and again on May 24, 1988. Mr. Roberts' deposition was commenced but not  !

completed on April 26, 1988. On Saturday, June 4 Mr. Lanpher informed us for the first time that Messrs. Regan and Roberts have recently left suffolk County government. We believe that the previous notices and Board orders remain valid, and indeed have been violated. As we stated in our letter to you yesterday, I
