SUBJECT:
STATISTICAL EVALUATION OF CONFIRMATORY MEASUREMENTS AT NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS This is in response to your request for a staff review of the proposed method of evaluating confirmatory measurements.
The proposed method could be a significant program improvement, however, it must be realized that multiple analyses must be made for this statistical test to be useable.
This could have a sigr.ificant workload impact on NRC Confirmatory measurements and on licensee counting programs. provides some specific coments and Enclosure ? provides an alternative method which my staff recomends.
