Vermont Yankee Response to Inspection Report No. 50-271/88-200, Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP) Inspection As a result of the Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP) inspection conducted at our facility durar.g the period June 1-10, 1988, Reference b) requested that we provide you with our schedule for providing additional information related to our E0P's.
This request is based on an observation that the documents that sup-port the differences between the generic, NRC-accepted Emergency Procedure Guidelines (EPG) and our E0P's had not been formally transmitted to the NRC for review.
As noted in the inspection report, we had conducted an independent assess-ment prior to the NRC inspection and identified several areas where enhancements could be made to our EOP-related documents.
To address the issue in an effi-cient and effective manner, it is our plan to resolve all open issues related to both the independent audit and the NRC inspection and, in parallel, update the PGP, including the PSTO's with justification for deviations from EPG, Revision 3.
The resubmittal of these items as requested in Reference b) will be made by March 31, 1989.
The schedule for this effort is not tied to NRC issuance of a generic safety evaluation report for Revision 4 of the EPG's.
