A total of 26 HFA relays was inspected on the 6,900-volt shutdown boards IA-A and IB-B (13 relays per board). Two of these 26 relays were contained in spare compartments.
These inspections were performed and documented by special maintenance instruction (SMI) 0-317-80.
This SMI i
l incorporated the actions requested (items 1 through 3) by reference 1.
1 The results of these inspections document that none of the subject relays were found to have inadequate latch engagement.
Therefore, no corrective repairs or replacements of these relays were required.
Twelve spare relays, ordered on Contract No. 88NLF-35522B (item 1), have h
recently been received on site.
These relays will be inspected before l
their installation to verify the date code as spectfled by NRCB 88-03 (actions requested, item 4).
