REACTOR DEPRESSURIZATION SYSTEM FULL STROKE TESTING COMMITMENTS This is to document commitments made to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission by telephone conference call on June 2, 1988 regarding the Big Rock Point Plant Reactor Depressurization System (RDS). The commitments pertain to full stroke testing of the Target Rock depressurizing valves. Specific lly, Consumers Power Company, prior _to restart from the current refueling outage, will replace the main valve disk and disk guide assemblies on all four depressurizing valves and full stroke test them following reassembly. In the future we will inspect the internals of one depressurizing valve each refueling outage.
In addition, Technical Specification Changes and ASME B&PV Code Relief Request will be submitted to address our commitment to full stroke test all four depressurizing valves each refueling outage. These requests will be submitted in writing within the next thirty days.
