Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 (TMI-l and THI-2)
Operating License Nos. DPR-50 and DPR-73 Docket No. 50-289 and 50-320 TMI Modified Amended Physical Security Plan, Rev. 26 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, enclosed for your review and approval is Revision 26 to the TMI Modified Amended Physical Security Plan. This revision is a consolidation of previously submitted Revisions 24, 24A and supersedes Revision 25.
Also included in this revision are commitments for modifications resulting from the Regulatory Effectiveness Review and comments from a meeting with the NRC staff held on March 22, 1988.
The justification provided with Revision 25, submitted July 24, 1987, has been restated as applicable to this revision (Enclosures 2 and 3). Revision 24, dated September 29, 1987 was submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p).
Revision 24A, dated November 6,1987, was submitted in response to the Miscellaneous Amendments rule. Any changes of substance that were not previously identified are discussed in Enclosure 1 to this letter.
Additionally, it is our understanding based on discussions with the NRC Headquarters staff that no regulatory exemptionr are required to implement this revision.
We request that Revision 26 become effective upon date of approval and implemented within 30 days. And, as stated in previous submittals, any modifications and procedure changes required by the amending of 10 CFR 73.55(a), (d)(7), (d)(9) and (e)(1) will be complete within 180 days of NRC approval. Procedure changes required by the amending of 10 CFR 73.55 (d)(1) will be complete within 60 days of NRC approval.
