Byron Station Units 1 and 2 Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License NPF-37, Appendix A, Technical Specifications NRC Docket NOs. 50-454 and 50-455
Dear Mr. Denton:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Commonwealth Edison proposes to amend Appendix A, Technical Specifications, to Facility Operating License NPF-37.
The proposed change, which involves a revision to the measurement range of the triaxial acceleration sensors in the seismic monitoring system,'is contained in Attachment A.

The reasons for the proposed change are discussed in Attachment B.
The proposed change has received both on-site and off-site review and approval. We have reviewed this proposed amendment in accordance with 10 CFR 50.92(c) and determined that no significant hazards considerations exist.
Our review is documented in Attachment C.
If this proposed change to the Byron Technical Specifications is found acceptable, we request the same change be made to the measurement range of the triaxial acceleration sensors listed in the current draft of the Braidwood Technical Specifications.
Commonwealth Edison is notifying the State of Illinois of our application for'this amendment by transmitting a copy of this letter and its attachments to the designated State Official.
