NRC transmitted their safety evaluation to TVA in reference I and stated "... that TVA has satisfactorily addressed all issues identified by the bulletin." Reference 1 also requested that TVA confirm that the SOR switches in the unit I residual heat removal (RHR) and upper head injection (UHI) systems had been replaced with the modified SOR switches before restart.
This letter provides that confirmation.
l The unit 1 RHR SOR switches were installed by engineering change notice (ECN) 6707 and calibrated by ECN 7149.
The unit 1 UHI SOR switches were installed by design change notice (DCN) 00260. Calibration of the UHI switches by DCN 00260 is pending approval of proposed technical specification change 88-20, l
