Dear Ms. Garde:

During a conversation with the NRC staff on March 4,1986, you indicated that two individuals (unidentified) had contacted you to assist in bringing b additional allegations to the NRC. By letter to you dated March 5, 1986, I requested that the NRC . staff interview these two individuals on March 11, 1986.

In a telephone conversation with a member of my staff on March 10,1986, you stated that GAP investigators must debrief the individuals before meeting with the NRC and, therefore, you could not schedule the interviews for the date requested. In a telephone conversation with a GAP representative on March 13, 1986, we requested that GAP provide us with a schedule for interviewing the two_ individuals by March 17, 1986. By letter dated March 18, 1986, you aoain responded that the two individuals will be made available to the NRC staff after they have been debriefed by GAP investigators and have been assigned an attorney or other representative who is able to represent them before the NRC, a process which will take a few-weeks. F.ollowing that time, GAP would set up the interviews.

We request that GAP provide us with an interview schedule no later than close of business March 25, 1986. I can be contacted on telephone number (301) 492-7425.
