STATUS OF TOPICAL REPORTS UNDER REVIEW A recent audit of our topical report files for your organization shows that the reviews of some of your reporte have not progressed for some extended periods.In general.
there are two categories of open files:
Category 1 - Topical reports which have not had any review activity for at least two years and probably should be withdrawn from the program due to obsolescence or lack of further interest on your part.
Category 2 - Topical reports whose reviews are on hold awaiting requested informatson or some other required action by you or the staff and whose last review milestone is long overdue.
Some of these reports might still be viable.
Enclosures 1 and 2 contain listings of your reports which fall into Categories 1 and 2.
respectively.
We request positive and immediate action by you if you wish the review process for the reports listed in Enclosure 1 and 2 to be continued.
These reports will be removed from our topical report program and our files destroyed without further notice unless you advise us within 60 days of the date of this letter that you want the NRC staff to pursue the review to completion.
For those reports which you want the NRC staff to complete the review, we need a written, notarized request from your company to that effect and a proposed schedule for implementing that request.
