. The purpose of this modification is to:

(1) extend the ordering period of the contract; (2) amend Section G.1, NRCAR 2052.215-71 PROJECT OFFICER AUTHORITY, by reflecting the replacement of the NRC Project Officer; (3) exercise the govemment's option of extending the term of the contract; l-

'(4) revise SECTION I - CONTRACT CLAUSES paragraph 1.152.252-2 entitled " CLAUSES INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE (JUN 1988), of the contract to reflect an administrative correction. This change incorporates, by reference, clause 52.232-22 l-entitled, " LIMITATION OF FUNDS," which was inadvertently omitted from the contract, and;

_- (5) revise Section 1 - CONTRACT CLAUSES by adding paragraph I.9 - 52.232-19 entitled,

" AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS FOR NEXT FISCAL YEAR,"

l Accordingly, the following sections of the contract are hereby modified:

1.

Under section F.6 DURATION OF CONTRACT PERIOD (MAR 1987) ALTERNATE 4 l

(JUN 1988), delete the paragraph entirely and the following paragraph is substituted in lieu thereof:

The ordering period for this contract shall commence on the effective date and will expire on 9/30/99. Any orders issued during this period shall be ccmpleted within the time specified in the order, unless otherwise specified herein. (See 52.2116 Ordering.)

Under section G.1, NRCAR 2052.215-71 entitled " PROJECT OFFICER AUTHORITY" paragraph (a) is deleted in its entirety and the following is substituted in lieu thereof:

Under clause 1.6, 52.217 OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT (MAR 1989) the Govemment hereby exercises its option to extend the term of the contract.

Subsection 1.1 entitled " NOTICE LISTING CONTRACT CLAUSES INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE" is revised by incorporating, by reference, clause 52.232-22 entitled,

" LIMITATION OF FUNDS."

5.

Section 1 - CONTRACT CLAUSES is revised by adding the following paragraph I.9 as show below:

1. 9 52.232-19 AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS FOR THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR (APR 1984)

Funds ara not presently available for performance under this contract beyond: Task 1

Order One through 11/15/98; Task Order Two through January 31,1999; Task Order Three through October 30,1998; and Task Order Four through December 21,1998.

The Govemment's obligation for performance of this contract beyond that date is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legalliability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise for performance under this contract beyond: Task Order One through 11/15/98; Task Order Two through January 31,1999; Task Order Three through October 30,1998; and Task Order Four through December 21,1998, until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for performance and until the Contractor receives notice of availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
