DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 DIESEL GENERATOR GOVERN 0R HEAT EXCHANGER SDAR: CP-87-137 (SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT)

Gentlemen:

On January 20, 1988, TV Electric notified you by final report logged TXX-88127 of a reportable deficiency involving the diesel generator (DG) covernor heat exchanger which could reduce the cooling capacity of the heat exchanger.

The last report was logged TXX-88596, dated August 5, 1988.

The purpose of this supplemental report is to revise the corrective action implementation schedule.

Replacement of the Unit 1 Train A diesel generator governor oil heat exchanger internals is complete and the associated work order has been closed. A Post Work Test Report has been issued to ensure completing incidental work of bleeding the Train A governor during Special Performance Test SPT-024.

The Unit 2 corrective action schedule has not changed.

TV Electric anticipates no further correspondence on this issue.
