APPLICANTS' ADVICE TO APPEAL BOARD This is to advise the Appeal Board that the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NHEC) which holds approximately 2.2% ownership interest in the Seabrook Plant notified the Participants at their May 18, 1988, meeting that they had reached certain agreements with the Rural Electrification Administration regarding their debt restructuring, and that NHEC expected to be able to make payments to the Project suspended since January 1988.
As of May 20, 1988, those payments have been made.
A petition has been filed in the bankruptcy proceeding of Public Service Company of New Hampshire, No. 88-00043 (D.
N.H.) to release the funds which represent PSNH's share of moneys held by the Disbursing Agent as of PSNH's bankruptcy 8806030293 080527 PDR ADOCK 05000443

filing date January 28, 1988.
It is expected that the Bankruptcy Court will hear arguments on that petition in June 1988.
On April 28, 1988 PSNH requested an eight month extension of the time within which PSNH has the exclusive right to file a plan of reorganization.
On May 26, 1988 the Bankruptcy Court has granted an extension of at least four months, reserving until it had an opportunity to review the hearing record the question of a further extension.
Respectfully submitted,
/
