The NRC staff has comp eted its' review of the response to NRC GL 97-05, Steam Generator L
Tube inspection Techniques," submitted by Entergy Operations, Inc., for ANO-1, ANO-2. The
. focus of GL 97-05 was to verify that steam generator tube inspection practices used by
]
- licensees were consistent with existing regulatory requirements and the licensing basis for the

subject plants. Entergy Operations, Inc., submitted a response to this GL on March 17,1998, l
that included a description and technical basis for the inspection techniques used to size the depth of steam generator tube degradation at ANO-1 and ANO-2. The NRC staff's review of

. this response, did not identify concems with the steam generator tube Inspection techniques used at ANO-1 and ANO-2. The staff requires no additionalinformation at this time regarding steam generator tube inspections at ANO-1 or ANO-2 or compliance of Entergy Operations, Inc., to the associated licensing basis for this facility. Therefore, we are closing TAC Nos.
