WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 1986, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, D.C. OFFICE (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commission met with representatives of the Nuclear Utility Management and Human Resources Committee (NUMARC) to be briefed on recent NUMARC initiatives.
The following persons participated in this briefing:
J.H. Miller, Jr., President Georgia Power Company and Chairman, NUMARC Steering Committee Warren Owen, Executive Vice President Duke Power Company and Vice Chairman, NUMARC Steering Committee Jack Ferguson, President Virginia Power and Chairman, NUMARC Technical Subcommittee C.O. Woody, Vice President of Nuclear Operations Florida Power and Light and Chairman, NUMARC Working Group on Maintenance Bart Withers, Vice President Portland General Electric John Opeka, Vice President Northeast Utilities and Chairman, NUMARC Working Group on Station Blackout The Commission requested that at the next meeting with the Commission NUMARC provide recommendations a' changes to the operator requalification program.

r Commissioner Zech asked NUMARC for any information NUMARC could provide on valve maintenance with particular emphasis on check valve maintenance.
NUMARC promised to provide a report to the NRC staff on the results of a nuclear industry survey conducted by NUMARC on the use of predictive maintenance techniques.
There were no requirements for the staff at this meeting.
