Appilcation for Renewal of RCC Shipping Package, Certificate of Compliance No. 5450, Docket 71-5450 The Westinghouse Electric Corporation hereby submits this application for renewal of Certificate of Compliance No. 5450 for the RCC Shipping Package (Package Identification No. USA /5450/AF). Attached is a revised license application document to support this request.
The application document is not significantly different from the current version with the exception of the items which are noted in Attachment 1 to this letter.
Westinghouse also requests that this Shipping Package be certified by the U. S. D.O.T. for inttrnational transport.
In accordance with the provisions of 10CFR71.13(c), Attachment 2 presents a summary of how the requirements of 10CFR71 are met. Attachment 3 presents a summary of how 4
the differences between 10CFR71 and the 1973 version of the IAEA Regulations are met.
A check in the amount of $150.00 is enclosed as payment of the application fee specified in 10CFR170.31 for this request.

SUMMARY
OF CHANGES MADE TO LICENSE APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE No. 5450 1)
This application provides information to support the shipment of these packages as Fissile Class I.
The current Certificate of Compliance authorizes Fissile Class II and III shipments. Appendix 19 has been revised to reflect the information on the nuclear criticality safety calculations for an infinite array of shipping containers with optimum interspersed moderation.

The drawinigs for the RCC-4 shipping package have been revised to make them clearer and to provida only the necessary safety related information.
