DESCRIPTION:  !

The source consists of two stainless steel capsules, one inside of the other, both' sealed by heliarc welds. The source is cylindrical in shape with outside dimensions of 0.31 inches  !

(7.9~mm) diameter _and.0.5 inches (12.7.nn) length. i I

The inner capsule is divided into two chambers, one containing )

the cesium 137 in the form of a deposit of Cesium Chloride powder- )

and the other containing the'Ame'ricium 241 in the form of

-americium oxide powder.

LABELING:

The' source-is not labeled since it is designed for use-in the Model 8200 device source holder which is. labeled as described in the' device sheet for'the Model 8200 Density Moisture Meter Probe Assembly.
