SUBJECT:
NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION 50-333/98-06 -
Dear Mr. Colomb:
On October 4,1998, the NRC completed an inspection at the James A. FitzPatrick Power
Plant. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
During the six week inspection period covered by this report, performance at the James A.
- FitzPatrick reactor facility was appropriately focused on safety. Testing and control room
operations were conducted appropriately with formal communications. Material
deficiencies were appropriately dispositioned and operability determinations were
. adequately performed inspector follow up and closure of open items indicated corrective
actions implemented for previous issues were reasonable and effective.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
