INSPECTION NO. 999-90002/98-001
Dear Mr. Jensen:
Between March 27 and September 4,1998, Jay L. Henson and Michael L Fuller of the NRC Region ll office conducted a safety inspection of activities at the LBJ Job Corps Center at the USDA, Forest Service facility in Franklin, North Carolina. The inspection was limited to a review of the activities that resulting in damage to an exit sign at the facility that contained tritium and that was authorized by an NRC general license; and to the activities in response to the damage to the sign. Information provided in your correspondence dated September 3,1998 was examined as part of the inspection. The findings of the inspection were discussed with you and Daniel Sharp of your organization at the conclusion of the inspection. The enclosed report presents the results of this inspection.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules arxi Practices," Part 2, Title 10, Code of -
Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room. No reply to this letteris required.
