Dear Dr. Kelley:

On September 28,' 1998 the Management Review Board (MRB) met to consider the proposed final report documenting the Integrated Materials Performance Evaluation Program (IMPEP) l follow-up review on the New Mexico Agreement State Program. The MRB found the New L'

Mexico program adequate to protect public health and safety and compatible with NRC's program. The MRB acknowledged New Mexico's efforts to significantly strengthen their program over the past year.
