Dear Mr. Michaels:
As per the phone conversation between yourself and Dr. Robert Williams last month, we are by this letter formally requesting an extention of the dead-line we had set for submittal of our SAR revisions needed for fuel conver-sion. We had expected to complete our safety study by this time and submit the changes in the SAR to you in June.
We request permission to submit the modifications to you by August 31, 1988.
This summer the conversion project will have added personnel; the calcula-tions and SAR are the number one priority. In April, Dr. Alfred Rohach and two graduate assistants went to Argonne to set up calculations using RERTR codes on ANL computers. They made a great deal of progress, and they may revisit ANL if necessary. We see no reason now why the SAR cannot be ready for your review August 31.
