On September 17,1998, the NRC completed an inspection of decommissioning activitier.

at the Saxton Nuclear Experimental Facility. The enclosed report represents the results of

that inspection and subsequent discussions with you and your staff.

The inspector also observed a meeting of the Saxton Citizens Task Force held on

September 14,1998.

No violations of regulatory requirements or significant safety issues were identified during

this inspection. Accordingly, no response to this letter is required.
