This letter confirms the discussion between Mr. Hironori Peterson, Senior Operator Licensing Examiner, of this office and Mr. Brad Adams, Regulatory Assurance Manager, of your staff to
' have a meeting at 1:00 PM (CDT) on Wednesday October 21,1998, in the Region ill office. The meeting is open to the public.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss Commonwealth Edison Company's root cause assessment and proposed corrective actions for the high number of recent examination failures i
from the September 1998 initial Operator License Examination at the Byron Nuclear Generating Station.
