JOSEH1 M. FARLEY hUCLEAR PIAtti UNIT 1 NARRATIVE SIMIARY OF OPERATIONS August, 1988 3ere were no unit shutdowns or significant power reductions during the month of August.

%e following major safety-related maintenance was perforyned in the month of August:

1. Troubleshmting is continuing on the #9 river water pump and motor high vibration.

2. W e IB waste gas compressor was replaced after it seized. %e 1B waste gas compressor manual discharge valve was also reworked.

3. Carbon steel studs were replaced with stainless steel studs in the 1A charging pump room cooler heat exchange'.. The heat exchanger was cleaned.

4. A body-to-bonnet leak was repaired on valve HV-3226. (Steam supply to the turbine driven auxiliary feedwater pump)

5. Miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance was perronred on the diesel generators.
