NUCLEAR PROJECT NO. 1 RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 88-03 RESOLUTION OF GENERIC SAEETY ISSUE 93, "STEAM BINDING 0F AUXILIARY FEEDWATER PUMPS" This letter is to acknowledge receipt of the subject Generic Letter by the Supply System for the deferred WNP-1 Project.
Because of the long-term deferred status of WNP-1 and the limited resources being applied, our response to this generic letter and IE Bulletin 85-01 will be postponed until after construction restart (currently not schedu'ed). When construction resumes we will develop a schedule to submit a report describing the methods to detect or correct steam binding of auxiliary feedwater pumps. The report will address the concerns of IE Bulletin 85-01 and Generic Letter 88-03.
