.4 Gentlemen:

As required by 10CFR50.4 and the Standard Review Plan (Section 3.10),

13 copies of the Vogtle Unit 2 Seismic Qualification Report (SQR) are enclosed for your review.

The SQR provides a Master List and Qualification Sumary for each piece of equipment which is important to safety.

The Master List indicates that Vogtle Unit 2 is approximately 85%

l complete with installation and operability of the equipment.

In comparison to Unit 1, some differences in the SQR occur due to the addition of the AMSAC qualification summary and removal of non-safety related (Seismic Category I) equipment.

Otherwise, the Unit 2 Seismic Equipment Qualification Program is basically the same as the Unit 1 program which was audited by the NRC 1-ne, 1986.
