NRC/ Licensee Enforcement Conference An Enforument Conference was held at the NRC Region I office on April 25, 1988, with NRC and licensee representatives to discuss apparent violations and arocrammatic breakdowns in the area of Radiological Controls at the UNC Naval
) roc ucts fuel manufacturing facility. These violations and programmatic weaknesses were discussed in NRC Inspection Report No. 70-371/88 02 dated April 7, 1988. A Notice of Si attached as Enclosure 1.gnificant Licensee Meeting issued on April 18,1988,i Topics discussed during the meeting and the meeting attendees are listed in the attached Meeting Summary report, Enclosure 2. Your briefing agenda and handout material are attached as Enclosure 3. The enforcement conference was held to give you the opportunity to refute any discrepant inspection findings and discuss short and long-term corrective actions for the apparent violations and programraatic weaknesses.
Further actions to be taken by the NRC, with respect to the apparent violations and programmatic weaknesses, will be the subject of separate correspondence.
