Supplement 1 (Reference 3) regarding motor-operated valve common mode failures during plant transients due to improper switch settings, and finds no  :

additional afety-related motor-operated valves not included in our response '

(Reference 2) to the original bulletin (Reference 1) installed at LACBWR.

On April 30, 1987 LACBWR was permanently shut down. All spent fuel has been transferred from t'te reactor to the spent Fuel Element Storage Well (FESW) and License No. DPR-45 aiended to possess-but-not-operate status. Due to this action, the two valves d.scussed in our May 2, 1988 responsc, LAC-11577, to  ;

Page 2 May 16, 1988 the original bulletin are no longer considered to be safety-related. We therefore conclude that there are no safety-related motor-operated valves falling under the scope of either bulletin (References 1 and 3) installed at this facility, This letter should fully address the concerns of NRC Bulletin No. 85-03, Supplement 1. No additional response should be required.
