Gentlemen:
This is in reference to your letter dated November 25, 1985 and to a letter
from Dr. Roy Greening dated December 20, 1985 to amend your byproduct material
license. This also refers to our letter dated December 10, 1985 in which the
additional information needed to complete our review is described.
Although Dr. Greening's letter dated December 20, 1985 gave a more complete
description of his training and experience, it did not provide preceptor
statements or verification letters from the hospitals where he was employed,
as we had requested.

We understand that Dr. Greening's training began many years ago and the exact
information concerning the number of hours of training received may not be
obtainable, but we do need as much information as possible from each
institution where Dr. Greening received training. At least, we need
independent verification of:
the dates when Dr. Greening was present at each facility
.
the nature of his training and experience
the extent of his involvement in the nuclear medicine program
If the information requested in our letter dated December 10, 1985 cannot be
obtained, it will be necessary to forward this case to our Advisory Committee
on the Medical Uses of Isotopes (ACMUI) for their review.
